The municipality of Erice anciently embraced a vast territory that we now call agro-ricino and included the towns of San Vito, Castellammare, Buseto Palizzolo and Valderice as well as all the agricultural hamlets between Valderice and Trapani.
Much of the Trapanese coastline still remains within our municipality so we can boast a very long beach on the side of the Egadi Islands. Several well-equipped lidos insist on this, some of which also offer an excellent restaurant service.
Continuing along the coast in the direction of San Vito Lo Capo, we then come across Pizzolungo where the rocks dominate, one can then choose what kind of bathing to do and also what kind of crowding to find.
The town of Erice is connected to the valley by a cable car, which takes about 10 minutes from one station to the other and is an opportunity to admire the splendid view of the salt pans and the Egadi Islands.
From the valley station, the beach can be reached by public transportation or a 20-minute walk.
